Ba Ji Tian (Radix Morindae Officinalis)
Type: Herbs
Latin Name: Radix Morindae Officinalis
Chinese Name: Ba Ji Tian
Ba Ji Tian, or also popularly known as morinda root, is a type of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herb that is commonly used to improve fertility, strengthen the lower body and boost immunity.
In TCM theory, Ba Ji Tian targets the kidneys and liver. The kidneys govern the flow of liquids in and out of the body, which is why Ba Ji Tian is especially suitable for symptoms such as frequent urination, womb sterility, irregular menstruation, impotence, seminal emission, and low libido.
Ba Ji Tian can also strengthen the lower body, helping to treat chronic arthralgia, weak tendons and bones, flaccidity of bones, soreness and limpness in the lumbar and knees, muscle cramps, spasms, pain and discomfort. Modern studies also suggest that Ba Ji Tian can promote healthy stress management and improve white blood cell count for better immunity and mental health.
