Pau d'arco is a herb native to South America, where it has been used to treat a wide range of inflammatory conditions, including arthritis, prostatitis, fever, dysentery, boils and ulcers, and various cancers.
There are two active compounds in Pau d'arco - lapachol and beta-lapachone. These compounds have anti-inflammatory, as well as antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial properties to fight against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites.
